Bret C. Beyer, Sr.

BRET C. BEYER, SR., Senior Partner

Mr. Beyer earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin (UT) and passed all sections of the CPA Examination before entering law school. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University Law School in 1987, where he was Senior Editor of the Louisiana Law Review, a member of the Order of the Coif, and received multiple American Jurisprudence Awards.

Mr. Beyer has successfully argued in front of the Louisiana Supreme Court and is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Louisiana, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. A member of the American, Louisiana and Lafayette Parish Bar Associations, and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, Mr. Beyer has also served on the Board of Directors of the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association. He has prepared and presented numerous seminars to defense clients on areas such as tort defense, maritime and admiralty law, worker’s compensation defense and premises liability.

ERIN S. BEYER, Senior Partner

Ms. Beyer obtained a B.A. Degree from Louisiana State University, and a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University Law School in 1992, where she earned honors for Moot Court Board, American Jurisprudence Awards, Chancellor’s List, and Flory Trial, graduating in the top 20% of her class.

As a civil litigation trial attorney, Ms. Beyer is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Louisiana and has been voted an Acadiana Profile Top Lawyer. She is a member of the American, Federal, Louisiana, State and Lafayette Parish Bar Associations. Ms. Beyer has served as President and Executive Committee Chair of the Award-Winning Acadiana American Inns of Court and has been a Faculty Member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (“NITA”), in the United States and Canada, teaching litigation skills to both law students and practicing attorneys. She has also presented numerous lectures, seminars, and demonstrations regarding a variety of civil law issues including but not limited to: brain and spinal injuries, catastrophic injury, complex medical litigation, effective examination of experts, Louisiana tort law, automobile liability defense, insurance, merchant liability law, restaurant liability, the Americans with Disabilities Act, age discrimination, sexual harassment defense, and construction law.

Megan Réaux

MEGAN E. RÉAUX, Associate Attorney

Ms. Réaux graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she was a member of the Honors Department. She earned a Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Civil Law from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2011. While attending law school, Ms. Réaux was honored with the CALI Awards for Excellence in Evidence, Commercial Paper, and Family Law; the 2010 Public Interest Law Society Fellowship for her work with Hearts of Hope in Lafayette; and the LSU Board of Supervisors Scholarship.

Since law school, Ms. Réaux’s practice has consisted primarily of civil litigation on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. She has handled a diverse array of personal injury, state workers’ compensation, and Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act cases. Her practice also includes business transactions, contract dispute litigation, and estate work. Ms. Réaux has prosecuted writs and appeals to the Louisiana Third Circuit, the federal Fifth Circuit, and the Louisiana Supreme Court. She is licensed in all Louisiana state and federal courts.

Ms. Réaux has been awarded the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating. She served two terms as the District Three Representative to the LSBA Young Lawyers Division Council and chaired the Council’s High School Mock Trial Committee from 2019-2022. She was awarded the Bat P. Sullivan, Jr. Chair’s Award for outstanding dedication, service, and commitment to the Young Lawyers Division and to the legal profession in 2021.
